Foolish leaders make decisions in isolation. 

Go to a live music concert. Every band member will have in-ear monitors to hear the part they play. If the lead singer isn’t monitoring his singing and getting feedback on how well he’s doing, he’ll be off-key and off the tempo. 

Likewise, great leaders constantly foster feedback to better understand how their decisions impact the organization’s performance.
